Mehr Demokratie is a non-partisan, non-profit association that was founded in 1988 with the aim of promoting and expanding the possibilities of direct democracy for citizens. The organisation advises on citizens' petitions and referendums and scientifically evaluates the practice of direct democracy. Mehr Demokratie also deals with the issues of citizen participation, electoral law and transparency.

Es geht LOS is a non-partisan think- and do-tank that advocates for various formats of random-based, activating participation. The initiative combines perspectives and experience from science, politics and municipal administration. Es geht LOS conducts constituency councils on federal policy issues together with members of the German Bundestag, thus enabling local feedback on federal policy.
