Target-performance comparison

To what extent has the Citizens' Assembly "Germany's Role in the World" achieved its goal of correctly representing population groups according to age, gender, education, place of residence, number of inhabitants in the home municipality and migration background? The information can be found in the tables below. The goals were achieved on almost all criteria. One problem, however, remained the motivation of people with a lower secondary school degree or without a secondary school degree to participate. Their share had increased from 7 to around 11 per cent compared to the Citizens' Assembly on Democracy conducted in 2019. Nevertheless, this figure was far from the target value of 29.75 per cent. Therefore, future citizens' assemblies should work even harder to increase the proportion of this population group by improving the lottery procedure.
