The Institute for Democracy and Participation Research (IDPF) at the University of Wuppertal and the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam presented the results from the evaluation of the Citizens' Assembly Germany's Role in the World and recommendations for future Citizens' Assemblies at the federal level on 20 May 2021.
Foreign Minister Heiko Maas wants to learn more about the results of the recently concluded Citizens' Assembly on "Germany's Role in the World". On 9 April, at the invitation of the Federal Foreign Office, a video conference is planned with around 15 of the Citizens' Council participants selected by lot.
The Citizens' Assembly "Germany's Role in the World", which saw 169 citizens drawn by lot draft recommendations on German foreign policy, will hand over its final Citizens' Report to the President of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble.
